Wow, just heard lightning audio

nope. you didn't show me any statistics to make your claim either but it wont take but a google search to show how e-sales have affected retailers in the car aftermarket (car audio or otherwise). Either way statistic will only show a correlation between two things happening, they dont show proof one CAUSED the other.
How many more jobs does walmart offer to a community compared to a independant mommy and daddy owned shop? How much money does a walmart save its customers shopping in the community compared to the independent shop? Do you really need statistics to show the obvious? I've been into car audio and car modifications (since 89') long enough to use my common sense which tells me if local product cost 50-100% more than same product online a significant amount of people are going to chose online. So a few local stores go out of business. A few detroit factory workers lost their jobs to cheap mexican labor so chevy could make an attempt to compete with toyota. A few thousand MCI employee's lost their job so MCI could compete with bell atlantic. Shit happens and the survivors still manage to survive.

thats true. hehe i was just tryin to play devils advocate. its the survival of the fittest i guess...

But they create jobs and have a friendly work environment. They pay more than a typical retail store. They also offer health benefits to their employees.
WRONG!!! most stuff they carry in there store is made overseas so for every one job they create here, they just hired 3 people overseas to make the product:(. and around here everyone i know that works at walmart can only work a MAX of 39.5 hrs/week, that way they DON'T get health benifits.

but on the other hand...i go there, cause usually i'm broke //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

omg... to be considered full time at most any job you have to work an average of 32 hours.. they only give them 39.5 hours so they don't get overtime.. just like I give my "fulltime" employees 37 hours becuase I know they will work longer when I need them to and end up with 39-40 hours..

So, have you heard any of lightning audios high end products? There are some monstorous subs they have that people really are impressed by.

WRONG, they offer full benefits including dental:

walmarts benefits

so I guess none of those many people you know who work at walmart are part of that 60% who work there for the benefits? No offense but anybody who works 39.5hr/wk and doesn't get benefits because they dont put in 40hrs/wk is an idiot!

and last I checked unless you buy your clothes and shoes from Walmart they carry the same **** brands as Kmart, Best buy, circuit city or any other grocery or convience store. does walmart even rebadge products or have its own product line? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

So I guess I'm an idiot. Working 40+ hrs on my government contract and refusing the benefits, I must be an idiot.

Will you please stay on topic. In case you missed "LIGHTNING AUDIO"...

sooner or later people get sick of big stores. i honestly think (if you read up on tax breaks and so forth that big companies like wal mart and such get to move into areas) you would swear it was our government that wants too keep us down. a wal mart controled retail area is an economically weak area. they actually take away more jobs than they create so much so that alot of east coast wal marts might have to pay back the states tax breaks for not living up to their end of the economic bargan. when things are "booming" its all the little guys that are making it and when that happens in turn the little shops pay better than wal mart. there is alot more to be said for simply spending the extra 20 bucks and not caring......it helps your local area and that is true.

I had the same experience with Lightning Audio. 1 cube sealed apiece attached to a Jensen amp pushing around 75-80 real RMS watts and then a PA doing around 250 / channel. The Bolt 10s are just horrible. No output at all. If they had quality, you couldn't hear it. They were right on par with my HU powered Soundstorm Labs (Boss made?) 5x7s.

As for the anti-Walmart deal, well, I've seen a lot of people trying to get away from that store. I personally only go there every 3 months for synthetic motor oil, but that's because the local stores don't have the 5 quart container, which I need. I'll usually spend about $10-20 along with that. So basically $12 a month from me goes into Walmart. If this entire forum could pull that off for a year, one Walmart would really be hurtin'..

you REFUSED, which is different from cant get because you arent allowed to work 30 minutes a pay period.

Whats to talk about there entry level subs and **** like they are suppose to. Yes I think there's something seriously wrong with the install or box if they dont outperform a pair of 6x9"s. We've all agreed the subs **** already so I'm just goofin around with the walmart thing, jeez I dont really care about walmart one way or the other lol
