um 6 funky pup 12's in a ported box tuned at 80hz with 500 watts and a line driver and a epicenter...lol
um its all in the box.....but its pssible for your one 15 ported to be louder than his 2 12's sealed

Assuming they are both in good boxes and setup correctly I would say that the SX will be louder. It will be rather close.

what about if the w7's were ported?
If the w7's are ported then I'd say that they would be louder. The W7's would have an advantage in overall cone area and xmax but that is not the only determining factor in SPL.

If the w7's would be ported in the RIGHT box and the SX was ported in the right box, id say the w7 due to cone area. BUT, if the w7 are sealed and you have a big ported box with alot of port area the SX will be louder, but not by alot, but it will be hearable(is their such word)

yeah W7s def. have the advantage in displacement.. but just port the SX with a good amp and you should have an edge on your buddy, granted his stuffs sealed
yeah, id say its all in the install, are you saying each w7 is running off of a 1000/1?
