you can sometimes beat on the starter solenoid with a hammer...just give it a few good love taps...and that will sometimes make it work for a while.....

X2. Not so effective on newer cars, but does sometimes work. I remember my grandpa getting into a 72 caddy and going nuts on the starter with a hammer. Freaked me out, thought he went crazy LOL. You kinda had to be there, but those were the cars that you could literally get inside the engine area and sit next to the engine, huge cars.

Won't hurt to try (if you know where it is). You hit it and it works, you have some extra time. If not, it was most likely broken anyways.

Got a new battery and solved the problem turns out that my old battery was leaking fluid.

Still don't know what that wierd noise is under load.

for the 10th time that was the solenoid not clicking completely over, due to lack of juice...

did you check the flux capaciter?

sounds like a starter issue. Their simple to do on those cars.

Yah my flux capacitor is working fine.

But I just filled up my blinker fluid, and flux fluid is so **** expensive.

check your battery cables to see if there is any corrosion also as it can lead to many problems.
