they are supposed to be hella loud.

i know my 6.5" versions get ridiculously loud off of headunit power, and still sound good.

I like the 8" version - especialy how they have the semi flat spots cut in the outer mounting.

that would definately make installing them in my doors a ton easier.

they do well in my doors. accurate, musical, and can get down pretty low, but I cross them at 71hz. They don't need much power to get moving either.

Not sure if they were in doors, kicks, etc., but this did stray me away from them a bit. They do look very nice for the price, however.

Keep in mind that an 8" pro driver might test to play out to 5khz or so on-axis, in an anechoic chamber, in an optimal enclosure, but it will NOT do that off axis, in your car, on a barley suitable baffle in your door.

A smaller diameter driver will do better because it's dispersion will not suffer as badly as a larger one due to beaming. Lot's of drivers might look like they will work but that doesn't necessarly mean they will actually sound good in your car. Install, install, install..............................then tuning.

do not skimp on speakers for an install.
