would you use this for midbass in your car?

Keep in mind that an 8" pro driver might test to play out to 5khz or so on-axis, in an anechoic chamber, in an optimal enclosure, but it will NOT do that off axis, in your car, on a barley suitable baffle in your door.

A smaller diameter driver will do better because it's dispersion will not suffer as badly as a larger one due to beaming. Lot's of drivers might look like they will work but that doesn't necessarly mean they will actually sound good in your car. Install, install, install..............................then tuning.
