I said that the profile california a/b mono sub amps can only be ran down to 2 ohms.did u just say that a/b amps can only be ran down to 2 ohms or did i missunderstand you?
And the debate question has been raised. So usually a 800 watt class A/B amp for subs from a 800 watt class D will not result in a loss of bass?
Class A/B amps wouldn't wear out your subs any more than class D's would.Would you run a claas a/b amplifier on you woofer or woofers? Would it take a toll on your woofer? Would it be ok?
http://www.audiodesignline.com/howto/177102531I dont see how that would add to the sq. Care to fill me in on that?
They make Class A/B mono amps. Given that an A/B amp is less efficient, it requires more power to operate at the same output level as a Class D.As I prefer SQ to SPL I always use class A/B s rather than a Monoblock amp as they usually have better THD and damping and I don't need a ton of power to run a single sub //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif for SPL though I would go Monoblock.
no one can hear the difference FYI.People that can hear it will say an A/B sounds better. People that can hear it will say a Tube amp sounds even better.
I had some CD's back in the day that had different Bass tracks on left and right, That was cool to listen to.
