lol. no shit. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

If i had the cash to do it i would..u said u got a buddy that can do the bodywork so go for it. I work at a bodyshop and i've rebuilt a few cars and sold them. Now granted they werent 20k cars but alot of people make a living doing it. Go for it man and make some extra cash. If you buy em i'd like to see some pics of them. also search around for parts(ebay, junk yards, etc..) and you can probably rebuild them cheaper

I work at a body shop as well and would have no problem with buying a salvage vehicle as long as there was good documentation on what was wrong in the first place and receipts or invoices for all the parts that needed to be replaced so you know someone didnt do a half a**** job fixing the car ive fixed a couple of totaled cars for myself but was able to get them without salvage titles

I buy totals and repair them all the time, I typically fix and drive them myself, once I am ready to move on, then I sell them. I haven't flipped in awhile, I did it a bunch in the past and had both good and bad results. Personally, it's only worth it if you can get quality work done at a good price (luckily my family owns a shop and I have access to everything) and you are able to reinstate the title to clean status in your state (unless the person/business you sell to doesn't mind a salvage title, which depending on the flip price might be rare considering insurance options), in your case, it sounds like you are looking to get some decent money out of the cars so if your state prohibits reinstated titles, and the cost of the work+the salvage is anywhere close to ACV or flip price, no, it's just not worth it IMO...

DOCUMENT EVERYTHING, KEEP INVOICES!

Its a great deal to buy car with salvage titel if you can get it functional for less than its worth. If its what you want and plan on driving it for a while then a salvage title is fine, if your worried about resale then I would do the clean title. I have owned a salvage title car and it allowed me to buy more car then I could afford. If its fixed right then it shouldnt matter

What I would honestly do.

If you have the money to do something like this.

Get both, fix both, sell the stripped one with clean title make a the profit.

Then keep the other one you have a 04M3 for nearly nothing. I'd sell whatever current car you have to balence out then you have the M3 next to nothing, so when you do end up selling it wont matter since the car was pretty much free.

pretty much what i would do, although that stripped one doesnt look to rough, body looks good no physical damage, it just needs sht replaced. and i thought it would be even worse, just looks like all the interior stuff minus seats. And if you have friends that know people that can get some at a discount you look like you may be in good shape on that one. Id personally sell my truck and keep the bimmer and have a nice little trade up.

interested to see the wrecked on now.

also, so the stripped one would have a clean title after repaired? or would it also be salvaged?
