Here is my situation I currently have an Avic N1 and pretty happy with it but I have the opportunity to buy an Eclipse AVN 7000 brand new for $1300. Basically I just want to know if buying the upgrades on the Eclipse unit compared to the N1 are worth $1300. thanks

dunno, is 1/2 inch on the screen and a 20gig hard drive worth it to you?

What upgrades? Seems like you are buying on dealer accomodation. Are you talking about the add on processor? The AVN7000 should compare well with the AVIC N1 out of the box, plus it has the 20 gig drive, so the mapping is supposedly quicker.
