would this work? (pic/drawing) inside

im using a MAW12, DVC, 4ohms

all i can do is run it bridged at 8ohms, which isnt enough power for my sub. im trying to find a way to trick it into uing 2ohms without blowing it up lol.. until i get a new one thats 2ohm stable

Trick? You can burn the paper and see magic smoke, that's the only trick you can get.

You're going to have to bridge that amp at 8ohms wiring up the voice coils in series, like this:

Or run each voice coil independently to their respective channel on the amplifier, and make sure you switch the amp to MONO with the switch...if that's even possible on that amp.

It is confirmed that your amplifier is incapable of such technology. I would advise the bridge.

The Pyle driver is better than a Pyle of paper.

Either you can bridge the amp at 8 ohms, or wire each coil to its own channel on the amp.
Either way, you are going to get the same amount of power.

What they said.

when i wire it in series, it sounds like shit. i have a pyle blue wave wired in series and it slammed, but my mach5 wired in series sounds horrible. i dont know why ive tried so many times.. it sounds horrible in series. i wish i could wire it in series, 8ohms. but it sounds horrible. maybe they messed up when they built my subs and crossed the wires. ill try it backwards, put the + on the - instead of + to +.

I forgot, the MAW has two line-level inputs and a 12V+ remote input as well. Fill the 'screw holes' with liquid nails instead, it'll prevent any air leaks. You might be able to trick the voice coils on the amp that way.

wait. amps have voice coils? when did they invent that technology? I want one!
