Would this setup be too excessive for daily listening?

Yea, there are people rolling on 20,000+ watts in their daily setups with more cone area than useable floor-space...nothing is too much
Smaller cab = less power needed to pressurize the whole thing. Camaros have a tiny cab, and with all of that stereo equipment, even less. 600 watts would be nuts if given a decently efficient driver.

...all I got from that is that you think there is a point where it's 'too much' //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

my 3 hatch is even smaller than that,so you can imagine what my 1 sub does lol

that should be a nice daily driver for a bass head. never too much imo, you can always turn it down lol...

500+ square inches of cone area and 4kw-6kw makes for a nice loud daily
