Would this setup be too excessive for daily listening?

Sort of. She thinks it's dumb and wasteful but doesn't care as long as my share of the bills are paid and I have enough set aside for whatever we do. The only thing is each piece of equipment I buy probably represents engagement ring money down the drain to her.

Nowadays I just quietly buy stuff when she's at work and let her figure it out for herself if and when she does. Not that I'm hiding it but I don't feel like hearin shit when I decide I wanna buy something about how I already have one. She doesn't even like it loud so I can't even really appreciate the system while she's in the car though.

Smaller cab = less power needed to pressurize the whole thing. Camaros have a tiny cab, and with all of that stereo equipment, even less. 600 watts would be nuts if given a decently efficient driver.
