I was combing the netz when I stumbled upon this:

http://www.power-sonic.com/site/doc/prod/105.pdf

I was wondering if this would make a rear battery for a high current system? From what I have come to learn the important specs are outstanding.

Nominal Capacity

20-hr. (7A to 10.50 volts) ............................................................. 140.0 AH

10-hr. (13.5A to 10.50 volts) ........................................................ 135.0 AH

5-hr. (24A to 10.20 volts) ............................................................. 120.0 AH

1-hr. (84A to 9.00 volts) ................................................................. 84.0 AH

15-min. (260A to 9.00 volts) ........................................................... 65.0 AH

Internal Resistance (approx.) .................................................... 3 milliohms

Max Discharge Current (7 Min.) ........................................... 420.0 amperes

Max Short-Duration Discharge Current (7 Sec.) ................... 950.0 amperes

Can anyone give me a reason why this wouldn't make a kick butt battery?

I've heard a high ah rating is good, which it has (higher than kinetik 2400 but kinetik doesnt have in depth specs so it could be different)...Not certian if it has all the characteristics of a good car audio battery or not, but that thing is heavy as shit ...99 lbs. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif That's 30 lbs more than a 2400.

That max-current for short discharge seems a bit low, most larger audio cells are considerably higher when listing 'max-current'....but then again it'd take charts and knowing what each company defines 'max-current for short discharge' as to truly compare them. Such as my XS power D3100 i believe says 3200 amps max, short-burst output...but I cant say for sure untill I research further on what kind of period of time that is, which i would but my eyes hurt and its late, long day...ugh, im goin to bed. haha

But the amp hour rating is pretty impressive...and weight is definitely there as well...haha
