Would this be good sound deadener?

Is it possible to paint this on with a brush, also would it be good to use in my trunk to stop vibration and help keep the sound in?

I think im about to pick this up. I dont have any sound deadener on my car and by the way people talk "IT's a must"!!

However, I am not trying to spend over 50 bucks to just do my trunk.

So has anyone used some kind of sound deadener they prefer that isnt too expensive?

I used cheap peel and seal on the floor of my trunk. it stinks for a few days but that'll air out. I wouldn't use peel and seal on any spot where it could fall down though

I used peel n seal in my doors, it hasn't fallen down yet.

as long as you warm it up with a heat gun (or hairdryer) and roll it on it sticks fine.

it's like $10 a roll from lowes so it cheap, but It's definately not got the chemical properties of dynamat or other specific brands.

I think the tar base donesn't pull as tight when it cools so it doesn't hold the pannel as firm.

Don't know about the aluminium foil, that's probably inferior to the propper deadeners too.

let us know about the paint on stuff, I'm interested in that too.

That seller also carries mat sound deadener at low prices.

Might be better than hassling with the liquid.

I was thinking of buying two rolls of this and giving it a shot. I talked to a guyon here that said it was easier to use the liquid stuff though.... But I dont know how I would paint the top of my trunk lid?

What kind of car do you drive, and how many gallons would you say you put in your trunk?

Someone told em I would need around 70 square feet to do my trunk but shit that seems like so much.

Well, I have decided to go with the spectrum. I think im going to buy a gallon of it and also get the spray gun. Hopefully I can do my whole trunk with a gallon of it.

Anyone on here who had subs in their car and then added damplifier later? Did it make a huge diffrence? Improvement?
