I have some old equipment that I bought years ago and I want to try and use it but I'm not sure if its any good. I don't know how well the amp will work with the speakers I have, if you have any suggestions about it. I need 4" speakers for the front and would appreciate some suggestions for speakers that will sound good with the equipment I have or if I should get new stuff all together. I can't spend a lot of money so value suggestions would help a lot.

just curious about the discrepancy in the wattage's of the amp. Why do they put 900w and 50w X 4 @ ohms?

what I have

amp - lightning audio bolt b2.300.4 (900 watts max power) 50 watts x 4 @ ohms

rear speakers - ultimate 6930 t2 series 240 watts 6"x9" 3-way speaker (91db sensitivity) (30hz-20khz frequency)

what in buying

head unit - kenwood kdc-x494

need 4" speakers for the front and would appreciate any suggestions

At this point, considering the equipment you already own, I would say, sure, go ahead and but those things. It will be a perfect match. You can pick up any ol 4" speaker that you think fits your budget.

When you get seriouse about owning good quality equipment, come back with a budget of about $500-$1500 This will get you started.

thanks for the quick reply

yah I know its not going to be the greatest sound but I don't plan in having the car for a long time and am going to leave the stuff in there when I sell it ( accept maybe the deck).

if everything is that bad will it be that much better than stock speakers? also i have some flexibility on the head unit if its not that good and someone has some suggestions for a better one in that price range.
