for my first system i have everything but a box so its all been sitting in my room for about a month and im itching to get it in my car but ive read around and read pefab boxes are garbage so ive been looking it to getting one built for me but my budget is kinda tight right now so i was thinking of temperarly useing a prefab one till i can get a custom one my sub is a type r 12 will it sound that bad useing this box http://sonicelectronix.com/item_7498_Sonic+Sub+Box-+1SV12.html ?

is there anything else that would sound better in that price range ?

itll sound fine. as your first system im sure itll be good to you. youll just notie a big differance when you get a good box.
