How do you know if you have enough battery power to run your system? What are the equations to find out? Right now my system can only put out 2200 watts total and around 1000 RMS, but im running my system on what I believe is a stock battery and after about 10 mins the sound does seem to go lower a bit, not ALOT though. My future system is going to be like 4-6k watts or so with speakers and subs combined, so my question is how do you know if you have enough power and what other brands of batterys are out their besides optima? What are some cheaper ones?

Everything is appreciated!!!!

Kris

alright ill try and help first off you know you never go by the equipments Max you only go by rms the max is just there to fool noobs into buying the gear. Secondly i can tell you don't know too much judging by your sig (not dissing you but....)anyways it has to do with what amerage your gear pulls i.e lets say you ahve an amp that pulls 80 amps and a deck that pulls 50 amps you basically combine them and if it goes above what your stock alternator can put out than you can't pul it off. Secondly do the big three if power is an issue if that doesn't work your next option will be a high output alternator, and then if you still need more power you will probably need to add on a nother battery or two this section isn't really my cup of tea yet but im slowly learning too so we'll see good luck bro
