Would appreciate some help with Chevy Silverado 1500 speakers

First does anyone know the exact sizes of the front and rear speakers? 2nd, I want to just replace the front and rear speakers because the non Bose, stock system *****. I want to maintain some bass, but I should be able to gain some since I believe the speaker sizes in each door are 6"+. But, I cannot find the exact sizes.

Does anyone have any good recommendations? I do not want to purchase an amp and I want to stick around a $400 budget.

Forgot the year, 2012.

It seems to me like it's so hard to find solid data on this and how the door speaker installs work. I did find one for a 2012 Sierra which seems like it may be the same mystery.

4 door? If so 6.5/6.75 all around the doors.

Supercrew, yes. See, that's what Crutchfield's vehicle guide says, but everywhere I read it says it's actually 6" up front and 5 1/4" in the back and they don't make the brackets for the back. Seems like it should all be easy, but the more I look into it the more complicated it gets.

Just pop off a door panel and check it out. Those panels come really easy. Everything I have in front of me says they are 6.5's all around but I have not worked on one in a while so I'm not 100% sure on that the books are right.

The best bet at that point would be to hit up a forum geared toward those trucks. Honestly even then I'm not sure I would trust half what you read. The single best way is to just look. Won't take but maybe 5 min each panel so in 10 min you would be able to look at one back door and one front door.

If you decide to look and your still not sure measure them up or take a pic and post it up.

I will look around a few forums I frequent that are chevy based and see if there are any posts about this.

6.5 all around .,but if you wanna maintain some bass ,i suggest you look at cdt hd 61 components ,then hit me back for a price

The only problem I see is the fact your trying to get some sq out of your speakers and maintain some bass but none of that will happen unless you amp the upgraded speakers, what your going to get out of what your doing will sound worse then it does now no matter how good the speakers are they need an amp!
