There's a hell of a lot of bass in linkin park and nickelback and etc... AQ's don't go with a low tuning well. The 18's would be so much better with it.

Even in my truck, tuned @ 32hz I still peak at 45hz... from all the boxes I have had and walls I typically gain 10-12hz from box tuning. You only figure this out by doing alot of testing and rebuilding.

I've noticed that even IB - the peak frequency is a bit above the Fs of the sub. It still peaks around 32 or so. The car plays a part in it, I assume. The car's resonant frequency seems to be the low 40's, because that's the second note that just shakes the car. Around 32 or so it just pressurizes the cabin more than any other frequency, and you feel it more. But this is also all by feel, and knowing what songs have what note, I've never been on a TL.

40hz is high tuning?

It depends on the response of the box in the vehicle but for the majority of installs - yes, 40Hz is quite high.

The MJ's are a great choice, but I doubt they will be as peaky as the AQ's.

Well Im gonna crunch some numbers and build a foam port plug today, Ill try 30-32 hz.

If I dont like it, Im tearing the **** box out and starting the build for the 18's with aeros @ 30hz

I dont know, I emailed Marc thru his website for the production specs if he had them nailed down just waitin on a responce, hoping to model some boxes up asap.

I think Im defientely gonna go with the Mj's though, I was incredibly impressed with the IXL 15's from them. I think 3 18's would slam bam walled

I have to say for 175 bux shipped for a 18.they look pretty good. the vids impressed me.hell; 12 of those in a full size van / clam shell would be nutz. less than 2000 bux at that.

I actually am not runing the visonik @ .5ohm forgot to change that, Its runing @ 2ohm, so probly like 500ish per sub as it is right now.
I cant change the current box, I fi had to redo the port, Id have to redo the box. its all fiberglassed etc

If needed, send me dimensions & I'll draw it up like before.
