I went into Lordco(Auto store) and they said the biggest one that could sell me for my truck was a 140Amp for 275 Can. I didn't ask if that was 140 at idle or not, but the guy said it was a chromed aftermarket one if that has any effect on the amperage? My dad can get a discount there probably get it for around $200-225 before taxes, would that be ok or am I paying way to much? I remember buying a 105 Amp for my Van for only like 170 (Myself without my dads discount) so that seems kinda pricey to me. I'm looking for around 150 Amps To Run head lights, fog lights, air condition/heater, and 1200 watts of stereo, usually not all at the same time, is that too little for running that much stuff or will about 140 do me? Won't have fog lights on regularly so you can count that out on the calculations.
