I rabbet the edges of the side. Then the groove gets cut in the back, bottom, front, top to accept the rabbeted edges of the sides. For the other joints, where say, the back/bottom join, its just a regular but joint.so you just rabbit the side pieces? and the back/bottom for the sides to sit in? thats what I dont get. Do you make it like a tongue/groove joint, or is it just clean cuts
Not a problem man. You have been a good guy to deal with. It will be on its way to you Monday morning. Ill have finished pics of it up on Saturday sometime. Wont get to it tomorrow night, but wont matter, because DHL doesnt pick up on Sats anyways.sweet, cant wait to hear this box.

it will be lighter, obviously.Turpan Makes me laugh.
Not because it isnt good...just because of what it 'is'. Lightweight Medium Density Fiberbord as if you can alter weight and not alter volume while it still being the same density.
Anyway...I'm a nerd.
Good work.
its like that for everything he says. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gifSo since birch is a little bit lighter yet, it isnt as good to use? I think you will find a lot of people that disagree with you here.
yah, makes sense, but how do you keep the groove in the pieces at the right distance from each edge? If that makes sense. Really your doing a tounge and groove setup, with a rabbit bit, no?I rabbet the edges of the side. Then the groove gets cut in the back, bottom, front, top to accept the rabbeted edges of the sides. For the other joints, where say, the back/bottom join, its just a regular but joint. This make more sense?
