At the apartments that I work at(for my grandpa) there is some holes in the dirt in the crawl space under the foundation. Im filling all the low spots with berm mix. The other day we moved 2 tons down into the basement and into the crawlspace using only 5 gallon buckets. It worked im just looking for a more efficent way to do it. I was thinking of setting up a ramp or tube of some sort to go from the truck, through the basement vent and straight into the crawlspace, using mostly gravity to take the mix down into the crawlspace.

Does anyone have any experience with this? or any ideas on an efficient way to get the mix down there?

I know that most foundation companies take a blow vac like 6+hp Rigid, and blow a mud mixture underneath. It dries like concrete after couple days.Run your tubing/pipe, and use/rent a big vac/blower should work??Just a suggestion,of what Ive seen done:)

where is the blower? like in the building? or topside blowing the dirt down through the tube? what have you seen anyways?

can the driver pull his truck in to put his chute right down into the basement 'vent' (provided it is large enough to accept the chute), or is it too far that you need to move it from the truck, regardless?

well the truck will be right next to the building, im thikning of building a hopper that will be on the truck or right next to it then go down through the vent. and its a pickup, so the chute is not attatched to the truck
