Ok...Tonight I got offered a job @ a bar...One of my friends works security there, and he told me they need someone else...He told me they make $35 an hour,which sounds unreal to me? I don't see how they pay that much, but thats what he said....I am 19, and could use the extra cash.......Hours would be from like 9-1:00 A.M. .....Think it would be a decent job?

If you were a bartender there and made good tips I could see that being an possibility for $35/hr.

Security not nearly that much.

Good tips is the key.

It would be a great job to meet hotties at!

Especially when GGW comes to visit! (girls gone wild)

Yeah I got offered lots of jobs as a bouncer at bars but don't really like being around drunk people (old issues with drunk parents).

Around here you only need to be 18 to work security. I haven't seen security get paid more than 10-12 an hour, although if they get tipout that might explain it. I would start bar backing, you'll be in a good position to be a bartender when you're of age. Good money, and easy women. Just remember to never date one of them.

I've been working in restaurants since I was 14ish

bartenders here make anywhere from 100-160 a night

I know that only because they tip me out 10%, usually giving me around $15 at the end of the night, assuming that most of them are probably tipping less than they are supposed to, I imaging bartenders here make $200+ a night

nothing special about the restaurant I work at either, so if I were you I'd hop on the opportunity asap

depending on the bar, go for it...

but expect plenty of problems

a & b charges will be filed against you

you will get your *** kicked from time to time

you will have to go to the er at least once every few months for stiches, or getting glass shards removed from you scalp, etc

its rough.. but fun cause you get to kick some *** every now and then

You could also consider going into the Army and working on a tank crew for the same reason. It gets cramped in there so it pays to be short.
