Woofers with a low Fs?

If your goal is simply low end extension. Look at a larger driver. IE - a 15". They have more capable low end extension when compared to a smaller driver. I don't have an extensive list of drivers I've used, but as of now the XXX has the most low end extension of them.

Avalanche 18 has an Fs of 16Hz.

FYI Ported will play lower than sealed in some cases, trust me... Avalanche 18 + 11cuft + 10Hz tuning > Ava 18 + 0.707 Q sealed, even 0.5 Q...

also, down low the ported enclsorue will have more cone controll.

Main factors in low output capeability are Vd and Fs, others play large roles though. Enclsoure is the main factor, however.

its a dipole driver though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif, or at least the motor is generally used as a dipole driver. well the motor isnt even generally used but you get the point.

****, thats low
That's nothin'. It also has the displacement to play flat to right around 10hz, no baffle, no enclosure, no room treatment. 48" cone. >6" one way linear excursion. Unparalleled efficiency (Free air - a 9v battery can make it move over 2 inches one way). Only a mere $6,000.00 to $10,000.00 per driver. http://www.adireaudio.com

yeah i couldnt see my next purchase being anything under 15 inches. and 18 would be fun if i could fit it properly, and if i could find one that would have pretty decent transient response and overall sq.

the kicker L5 & L7 15 are from 18hz-110hz
You're not really following the conversation very well, are you? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif The discussion is about Fs of a speaker, not operating range. No sub would have an Fs anywhere close to 110hz.

IIRC the MTX RFL was in the 60's or 70's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
