Woofer Firing Direction

Does it matter? From everything I've read mostly no. Planning on having mine fire straight up into the cabin from the trunk seeing as it is a hatch back and there is an opening between the trunk and cabin. Thank you

It matters quite a bit. Unfortunately there is no static answer (one direction suits all). You'll have to play with the firing direction in whichever car.

I noticed a huge difference when I went from subs up to subs forward in my MR2. All cars are different though, test and tune. What car do you have? You confused me when you said its a hatchback but then said its a trunk car.

02 eclipse only thing seperating the trunk and cabin is a small cargo board that i can take in and out

Never owned an eclispe but I believe they are hatchback right, no trunk? Usually the best thing is to fire the subs up and ports back in a hatchback. Try this first and see how you like it.
