wont play the real lows

i finally got my amp in and its a power acoustik sl-5500D and my sub is a mtx 9512-44,its wired at two ohms,my amp is supposed to put out 3300 wrms at 2 ohms.When the song plays anything but the real lows its extremely loud but when it drops low you barely hear anything.I know that my sub is a **** good sub and my amp is supposed to be really good to so i dont see the problem.For instance on late night tip it wont pick up the real lows or on hoods run down by lil whyte it wont play thru the whole bass test even t ho ive seen a video on realmofexcursion of a guy playing it.can some1 tell me what might be wrong.

Probably has a ton to do with your box. What kind of box do you have?

Your sub box is tuned too high.

You'll need to use calculate the right enclosure for it to play lower.

I have the gain about half way up,subsonic filter all the way up,the lpf right around 90 and the bass boost all the way up

Try slowly lowering the subsonic filter to see if that improves the bottom end.

you have your amp all wrong. set the gain to match the hu preout voltage, the subsonic filter about 5-10 below where the box is tuned to, and the bb is all personal. i personaly have mine set at 1 out of 18.

i dont honestly know what my box is tuned to,i got it from an audio store,i just told them i need a box between 1.75 and 2 ft^3 so they got me a 1.83ft ^3 box,is it easy to retune your box

not if it's a slot port in that case make a new one. if aero port you can retune it.
