I have this craig 3139 8 trk. and FM radio combo and would like to get a wiring diagram ?

The wires that I think should be connected are - red with fuse goes to battery
black goes to ground

these are the wires I do not know where they are connected - Green , Light grey , green with red stripe and grey with red stripe ?

Could you please provide more details about your Craig 3139 8-track and FM radio combo, or specify additional information you need? This will help me assist you better.

Not much info to be found on that from a quick search. But I agree those sound like the speaker wires.

I would think the green, and green with red stripe are one channel.
Then the light gray, and light gray with red stripe are the other channel.

A different model shows the green wire is the Left channel, and the Gray wire is the Right channel, but it was a common ground model and did not have the other two wires.

From what I did see, it says to not ground output, so I would guess it’s a 2 channel since those are all the wires it has. That's how I would start off trying it. I suppose it also could be a common ground and a 4 channel and speakers negative terminal tied to common, but at its age I would think just 2 channel stereo (the wires with the stripe might be internally tied to common ground).

The red and black wires should be for the main 12v. That thing is pretty old, so a gamble how it will function if at all.

How many speakers do you have? It could be speaker wires and a antenna wire.

8 track tape shares its own frequency range with the FM. So the radio has to be in tune for the 8 track tape to work. They are signals wires. Most likely because the speakers wires connected have different color coding. Antenna, constant power, ground, and some noise reducing wire. What kind of car is it? Old or newer.

The 8 track tape on switch uses the same frequency line FM stations to transmit signals to the speakers. So when the tape is turned on, the FM frequency line is overridden by a diode there, and a voltage divider. Cutting off radio FM frequency (volts). So that only the tape is heard. Those are signal wires.

Is there an ISO connector? Now you need the correct fitting ISO Connector to plug it in.

Great. Power supply connectors. Connect that to the radio or 8 track tape.
