I believe thats what happened to one of my old school sony's. It was said to be tested working , but when i got it , the box was dented and it wouldn't come outta protect. I got my money back and kept the broken amp. Come to find out one little transistor next to an output transistor had broken its solder joint. I re-soldered it and the amp works great.

umm , no. I did exactly what they asked me to do. kept the broken amp. and a month or two later i opened it up and fixed it. I guess now you will tell me i scammed the other person who sold me one with a burnt D channel too? even though it is currently running finals that came out of an alpine 3527S?? Why the **** would you even insinuate that i was a scammer because i fixed a broken amp that was given to me?

In fact if you look at its gut shot in my crap vs quality thread in the amp section you will see the mis matched finals. And i can provide shots of the alpine board with the missing finals. Douche!

Yeah, but who knows what the deal is. Some people get stuff installed and just don't have the simplest of tools to uninstall it. It is a good price though, my bid was up to $150+ship...can't beat 900 rated watts at 4ohms for $155 shipped, considering it's probably capable of 1kw+.
