As per the R&D.... it was a full 2 years between when I saw this reported in CES to it's release to the public. I'd say they did their HW.

...plus you can get more of these packed side by side compared to a round sub of similar size.

This sub has been in existance for years....never really got popular. But what gets me is, If its a SQ orientated sub, why the replaceable cone? that denotes high SPL useage / a need to change it out because you fried it with 8 jizziliion watts during a burp.
