my roomate just installed my subs to my hu. its a sony cdx-m630 and now they only push through the tuner. my factory sub is all i hear when i play the cd player.how do i fix that, and what will happen when i install xm next week?

Unhook the subs - it's pointless to use aftermarket subs unless you have an amp capable of delivering some power to them.

do you have an amp? If you do, it sounds like the remote wire he used is only a Power Antenna wire, as you said it only works through the tuner. Its only turning your subs on when the radio plays because it thinks your subs are your radio antenna.
