Grounds are recommended to be no longer than 18"?
so would it hurt my piece of crap system to run a ground back to the battery?

maybe you should sell it all. and take the money, and save it for the real world. since you seem to think its a good idea to get married at 17 and all. or are you going to live in momma's basement forever? btw- this isnt a computer forum. no one cares about your UBER-COMPUTAR!!!!!

Length of ground does not matter as much as integrety. The only thing you add by a longer ground is the resistance of the wire. If its a high strand count wire the resistence is very minimul and not an issue. In some uni body vehicles, esspecially GM cars, if you take a reading of most peoples grounds in the back of the car, the reading is generally much higher than someone who has ran a ground all the way back to the front to the battery or engine ground. Every serious SQ car I have done I have grounded the entire system to the same point under the hood as the battery.

well judging how I'll have like peak of 1200w if not less (only like 500W RMS total) would I notice a difference?

then why are you saving up for a cheap car? why do you have (and are so proud of) a cheap, shi t stereo? seems odd... and as was mentioned in another of your threads, why do you have to "spend money before you have it"?

I just make sure I can fit things into a budget, I'll never spend more then I'll have, but I'll make the arrangments before I have the money, but I keep track..... it's not like the stereo is the only thing I'm purchasing... I just wanted to get a sweet LOOKING system put in the truck really... then drive up to some highschool and sell it to some ignorant kid for an overprices amount....

reason for going to a 1994 MX5 instead of a 2003+ one is because:

I AM GOING TO WRECK THE CAR!!! Not on purpose, not intentionally, but because the way I'll be driving it.... until I total the Miata, I'll be driving a 1994...

it will help me get a feel for the size and weight of the car. that way when I do get an 03+ I won't be a n00b to the way it drives...

you are an idiot i swear... you change your excuse everytime for buying a crappy cheap system and then say your going to wreck a car... your an idiot go drive that s-10 off a bridge.... LITERALLY

is it that hard to understand? YOU REALLY CANT AFFORD THE STEREO, OR THE CAR! You make that painfully obvious. Thats the point. really, i dont care at all what you want to do, be it track car, stereo, computers, or anything like that. The simple point im trying to make- you are 17. You are engaged. You are "saving up" for car that is worth $3500, at best (http://www.kbb.com/KBB/UsedCars/PricingReport.aspx?ManufacturerId=30&YearId=1994&VehicleClass=UsedCar&VehicleId=NC83LzIwMDd8OTM4NA%3d%3d&PriceType=Private+Party&ModelId=198&Mileage=100000&SelectionHistory=9384%7c3222%7c55921%7c0%7c0%7c345630%7ctrue%7c345633%7ctrue%7c345634%7ctrue%7c345636%7ctrue%7c345675%7ctrue%7c345668%7ctrue&Condition=Good&QuizConditions=0). If you need to save up for a crap car, you are not ready to get married. if you STILL insist getting married YOU NEED TO START SAVING MONEY! Bah, you just dont understand, do you? good luck in the real world douch e

I'm engaged, not married... I'm scheduled for about the age of 21 to get married....

I'm not saving for shit, I'm selling the S-10. and where I'm selling it a stereo helps it sell... not matter how shitty....

I'm guessing about 6k for the S-10... plenty for my car and a system....
