Wiring through firewall

This is the first time Ive actually tried to set up my own system. Ive had friends that have done it in the past, I guess I should have payed more attention. BUt to the point.

I have a 90 ford probe and I cant seem to find any gromets to wire the power through. Anyone know where it might be located. If there are none where in the firewall would be a good place to drill?

If you can't find an empty grommet, try running it through one of the existing ones that already have wires coming through.

If you can't do that just drill a hole where ever you can some place near the battery.

You can find a place on the fire wall that will accommodate your needs. A place that when you drill, you wont drill through something important.

Get a piece of rubber hose that your power wire will snuggly fit through. Drill the hole just ever so slightly smaller than the rubber hose. Put the rubber hose though the hole. and the wire through that. The rubber hose will keep the rough edges of the drilled hole from rubbing though your power wire and causing a short.
