so i got a Hertz Dieci HDBPK6 system in the car.

the mono amp supports 2 and 4 ohm setups. the subwoofers is at 4 ohm.

what i want to get done is wire the subs into the mono amp at 2 ohm.

the subs connected as is now only draws about 300rms(ISH) and i'd calculated if i get the subs connected to the amp in a 2 ohm state considering the advertised 550rms on the amp should draw around 498.xxx rms.

the subs are not wired together they just connects out each output on the side of the bass box and then they connected together on the positive on 1 output and negative on the other output.

the amp is mono with 2 pos. and 2 neg. outputs...

Hello, fellow engineer here. I see that each Dieci 30.3 woofer has a single 4ohm coil. That means when both subwoofers are wired in parallel (as you described), you'll achieve a 2ohm load. The user manual states that both Dieci DS 30.3 12" subwoofers wired in parallel create a 1.7ohm final load so this confirms my thinking. This means that you're already receiving maximum power from your amplifier. Changing the wiring configuration at the amplifier terminals won't make a difference at this point.

The amplifier is internally bridged so they provide the 4 outputs for ease of connection (so that you don't have to jam a bunch of wires in 1 terminal). If you already have both positive wires together and both negative wires together, there is nothing more you can do.

ok. just to be clear. you mean the pos. and neg. outside the bass box connected together and then i put the neg. in 1 of the outputs and pos. in the other output. or did you mean i could use 1 output and both negative and both positive in that?

There are 4 wires coming out of the box. 2 positive and 2 negative. take both positive wires and twist them together, then both negative and twist them together. Insert the positives into a positive terminal on the amp, then insert the negatives into one of the negative terminals on the amp. That will give you 2ohms at the amp.

haha middle picture is upside down. no idea how that happened. :p

looks good?

i dont know if ppl go this far down this thread anymore. but. does anyone know any charts or stuff to build a bass box inside the trunk of a car. mainly you see my car is red, a ford, escort! it would be fun since i got the rest of summer to do this with. if it rains. i got cover over at a buddy's house.

or anywhere i can go in europe to get it done by ppl.

Sorry for not checking back. Your box appears to be a pre-fabricated piece. Not sure about the size and tuning but you could maybe benefit from a custom enclosure. Are you wanting to go fiberglass or wood? Also, you can get my attention or other people you know by adding "mention" tags to their username in your post. It'll send a notification to the user.

like so.. @m0nk3n

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.
