Wiring these speakers... do I have to drill?

If you saw my other thread you've seen the audiobahns (booo) i just bought, but I have a question about hooking them up.. The inputs on the box I got are on the bottom half, under where the speaker mounts. This wouldn't be an issue, but I think the speakers are supposed to mount with the cone facing down, and the side of the speaker with the terminals facing up. Here's a pic of what I mean:

How do I connect the speakers? Will I have to drill holes for the wires? Can that even be done?

youd have to take the "plexi" off and drill a hole for the wires and then hot glue it to seal it off.. and then just make it look nice

.. make sure you try to hide it some how

or you could just skip the terminal and go driectly in from the side

i would drill through the box not the plexi. I would drill through the bottom of the box and run your wires from there up to the subs terminals. or you can run wires through the ported chamber then drill through the wall the subs are mounted too, or drill through one or each side of the box.

The ports are too long to allow for the subs to be mounted the other way. Or rather the board the subs are mounted to is too shallow, you know what I mean. I wasn't going to drill through the plexi, I meant the wood. I think I'm just going to buy some wire that matches the speakers or w/e and drill holes up through the mounting board, then seal them off. I'll make it as clean looking as possible.
