Wiring Subwoofers

Im sure this is a newb question so I apologize. I have 2 12" they are 4ohm dual voice and I have a Alpine PDX 1.1000 amp. So I have the pos/neg from each sub coming out of the box, should I wire them together before going into the amp (channel 1 only) or should I put one to each 'channel'?

This amp is different than the other alpine mono amps Ive seen as it has 2 channels. Thanks

thanks. Guess Im confused why its called a mono amp but has 2 channels. Is there any diff in power between using just the 1 chan vs the 2 channels except the ohm? This amp does 1000w in 2ohm or 4 so that shouldnt even matter

Thanks

If I wire Sub 1 to Sub 2, and Sub 2 to Chan1 amp (not use chan2) then it would be 4ohm?

If I wire Sub 1 to chan1 of amp, and sub 2 to chan2 of amp, would still be 4ohm?

If I wire Sub 1 to Chan1 of amp, and Sub2 to chan1 of amp (not use chan2), then 2ohm?

As stated, two DVC-4 subs

Is this correct?

Thanks

Also with the option of running 2ohm vs 4ohm, any reason to run one over the other? Thanks (and sorry for the newbish question)
op. you should read around a little. get yourself acquainted with how the wiring of the subs affects the amp and how to figure out ohm loads.
