Wiring subs

Hey guys...I have a guy who has two dual 4ohm subs. He wants to run it off a 2ohm stable mono amp. Now someone told me that he could still achieve a 2ohm load by running each sub in parallel (for a two ohm load) then hooking up the positive feed into the amp and the negative feed from the other sub into the amp, then hooking up the remaining wires to each other. Basically something like the attached file...in case the file doesnt show, here is a link:

Thanks in advance for any help.

you'll have to wire them in a parellel/series config. go from the + on the amp to the pos on each one voice coil on each sub, negative to the other voice coil on each sub and then connect the remaining (+) and (-) connection on each sub to eachother. So like this:

Good luck!

my friends has 2 DVC 4 ohms wired to like 2 ohms. He hason each sub

VC 1 = + --> -

VC 2 = + --> amp - --> amp

same with the other sub. Circuit city did it.. Mono amps usually have like 2 channels (4 terminals) and they used all 2 channels. Call your local circuit city, they might know what im talking about..
