Wiring Subs In a Dual Chambered Box

I am building my box tomorrow and its going to essentially be two boxes next to each other. The subs are d2 ohms and 2 in each box. I can't wire all four subs to each other so how would I go about wiring it to a 1 ohm load on the amp? Wire each pair to 2 ohms or wire each pair to 4 ohms?

Wire them in series parallel... or is it parallel series?

I don't remember. Wire one coil's + the the - on the other coil, then wire in the + and - on each sub. Put both wires coming out of the sub onto the + and - of your amp.

Voila, 2-ohm load.

Best you're gunna do with dual 2.

EDIT:: wait, 4 subs total? My bad...

Basically, have a pair of wires coming out of + and -, one goes to one box, one goes to the other.

Like this:

For each box.
