parallel and series?

paralell basically causes the resistance load to be cut in half

series doubles it.

When you use Series or parrallell, its so you can make different subs different ohms, lets say you had 2 4ohm dual voice coil subs, and you had a 1 ohm stable amp..

If you wired the subs in parrallell, you would make the amp see 1ohm

ohms are resistance, the higher the resistance (ohms) the less power
