I got a 0 gauge wiring kit for free from a relative. If I ran that from the battery to the trunk could I use a distro block to go down to 4 gauge because that's the max my amp can fit?

Absolutely. There is also a company (not sure the name but i think its Stinger... you can find them on ebay) that makes a 0ga to 4ga pin adapter that can go directly into the 4ga terminals of the amp
