Wiring on a 7893?

I've read several places that since the HU can put out 27x4 rms/60 x 4 max that you would need to get upgraded wiring. Any truth in this? I drive a '97 F-150 Lariat that came from the factory w/the "upgraded sound package" ..if that would affect anything.

Well I just put mine in today , And I gotta say it has alot of power , Almost dont need an amp to run my CDT Braxials , Really impressive output stage in it , Yes you need to run another wire to thebatter for it , To much power draw for the stock 10-15 amp wiring your truck has , It will blow the fuse ! You are going to love the HU , Man I have listen to it and played with it for hours today and cant get over the quality of sound thats coming out of it !

You think it is worth the extra monwy to get the 7894? Just has mp3 playing extra?

I didnt because I dont use mp3s , If you have them get it if not dont , Its the only difference in the 2 HU's

im thinking about gettin the 893 myself and if i do i will have to get new wires for it? cuz it seems like that would jsut be a pain. do you have to for sure? and if so waht wires? just the battery one?

i have the head unit, u do not need any new wiring all you have to do is instead of running the yellow wire to the leads behind the dash, wire it to the positive terminal on your cars battery like u would an amp. Its not hard and it is well worth it because the differnce in power output is really noticable in that head unit compared to the 50x4 decks. PS dont buy anything off of ebay especially this deck mine is great but i have had mine replaced twice because of manufacturers defects, its much easyier to deal with a store when it breaks then some guy sitting in his house reselling stuff with a digital camera
