i recently blew my two subs and i am getting new ones. my blown subs were 12" kicker solo-baric L7s 4 ohm and they were hooked up to a kicker 1200.1 amp. i have the oprotunity to get new ones at a good deal but they are 2 ohm subs instead 4 ohm. would i wire the subs differntly?

Wiring options:

2 x DVC2ohm = http://rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/wiringwizard/index.asp?WoofQty=2+woofers&WoofImp=Dual+Voice+Coil+-+2+ohms+x+2&image.x=17&image.y=16

2 x DVC4ohm = http://rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/wiringwizard/index.asp?WoofQty=2+woofers&WoofImp=Dual+Voice+Coil+-+4+ohms+x+2&image.x=8&image.y=18

The DVC4ohm's were probably wired to 1ohm for your amp...and I wouldnt run those DVC2ohm's to your Kicker amp at .5ohm...and wiring them to 2ohm will only give you what, say like 700 or 800 - I dont know the specs off the top of my head - at 2ohm. So...it's up to you.
