wiring my 1200.1

k i got a jbl 1200.1, and i'm gettin 2 sexxx's(in the mail ) any way they are dual 2.1ohm coils.. so how can i wire this cuz it's a mono amp.. and can't be bridged

i'm thinkin just hook them up regularly, wt both coils hooked up to one side for one speaker and the same for the other.. but what would my amp be seeing ohm wise

i want it to be 1ohm if possible..

2 Subs with Dual 2 ohm coils.

Option 1:

Wire the coils on each sub in parallel to achieve a 1 ohm load at each sub.

Wire these together in series to the amp.

The amp will effectively see a 2 ohm mono load.

Option 2:

Use only 1 coil per sub.

Wire the coils in parallel to achive a 1 ohm mono load at the amp.

I would personally use option 1 firstly.

While the 1200.1 will handle 1 ohm, you will honestly not notice that much of an improvement in response at the lower ohm load.

So I could run one coil on my brahma to my 81000d to get 1500 watts to one coil? Or am I just stupid?

ur just stupid, u can only wire ur brahmaup to 4 ohms or 1ohm plain and simple unless u have 2 amps 1 to each coil then each amp will see 2ohms

actually, according to the manual, you will see no power increase from 2 to 1 ohm. so it its easier to go to 2 ohm, do that.

Actually fat ****, I could by this thing that tricks my amp into thinking my sub is dual 4 so I could get a 2 ohm load.
