Wiring Help under engine: power wire in a navigator

Hello guys, im installing a quick system for a close friend. and everything is done except for power and ground wires. normally cars have a rubber grommet in the engine bay to run the power wires into the car, and then down the rockers, but in his navigator he has plastic clips with the tiny factory car wires and i havnt spotted a rubber gromet into his car.

What options do i have to get the power wire in the back of his car. any navigator users here?

In the back of his car, around his 3rd row seating there are those bracket bars that go across for the 3rd row seat hooks to rest in when installed. but there is a flat surface on the front and back of it. Would this be an acceptable ground if i ground the paint down and bolted a ring to it. or would the flat floor panel surface be better?

#1. you can drill a hole and install a grommet. this might be the only way

#2. dont use the seat bracket. find a good solid place. i.e floor anchor or seatbelt bolt.

What year navi? My cousin has a 01 Expo, and it was pretty easy to find a spot in that truck. The Navi's might be different though...

passenger side floorboard, lift the carpet, there is a rubber grommet there. you can "fish" the wire thru and up the fenderwell. use zipties to divert the wire away from any hot or moving parts. done many in this fashion not one return.

ok so run the wire externally and there is a grommet on the passenger side floorboard as in the back of the vehicle or front seat.

ill likely use the floor pan in the back instead of the seat bracket.

its in the front wheel well near the kick. make sure you run it up the inner fenderwell and zip tie to any harness coming up on that side. following the factory harness usually yields the best results.
