and as stated above, all you have to do is connect the wires specified by the instructions that came with the harness

this is what he put in the email

"Black ground

yellow battery

red switched postive

grey, white, green and purple are speaker wires.

blue with white stripe turns on amp-if not used, make sure tape off, if harness has yellow with black stripe, and/or orange with white stripe, tape them off also."

is this all i need to connect?

Not to discourage you from trying to do it yourself, but you may want to take it to a shop. That way you don't risk messing up the HU again.

You should have 2 harnesses. One to plug into the back of the radio and one to plug into the stock harness. Do you have those?

Also the wiring that was emailed to you looks to be correct. The only thing left to do is wire it up as stated in the email and see what happens. But it will save you all the hassle to spend them money and get it done by a shop.
