im not trying to start anything, and i too think the quick connects are kinda stupid...but i dont think it takes away from the amp

but may i ask which knobs you find useless?

well not for everyone... but i dont need the bass level since ive

got it set to 0db anyways... and the phase knob just confuses

me...

i dont wanna fight either... im not trying to start anything... just

so no one thinks i am...

yea nothin personal here either, im just seein what other people think of it, i actually have found the phase knob to be a nice feature as when i had the diamonds inverted it came in handy (so i didnt have to mess with the screw lock terminals again) and i agree with the bass boost i dont use it.

ive never inverted a sub... but i do see how that

would be a helpful knob to have for that application...

when i have too many buttons and knobs to play with

i usually just mess with stuff till i fvck it up and then i

scream and complain that it sounds bad...

the memphis was quick easy simple and small...

but the viper does have more power... and theres nothing

wrong with that!!!

the memphis has chrome and black...

but the viper is sexier... just a little bloated looking...

lol, the quick connections do get to be a pain in the ***, especially since the connectors dont easily accept 4awg, there are some on ebay though that accept 4awg better I believe, they can be found here, kinda expensive but oh well. I find the features to be rather usefull, I can tune for rock and I can tune for my bass. I have no need for the ssf or phase since my subs arent inverted and im ported @ 24hz, but it's nice to have.

And the snake and sexy chrome are all good for an extra 350wrms, leading to an extra 1dB!

the internals are packed tight in the d1200.1 though, I dont think they could have made it much smaller, unless they changed the heatsink style

of a SQ guy as im quickly finding out... does a ported box @ 24 give

you a bunch more output and keep the sealed box quality???

thats a pretty low tuning... sounds like it would be nice...

for right now im running it at 4 ohms, and it dosent seem to have to much power where my gain is (about 1/4 way up becaus ei have 6.5 volt pre outs, but if i turn the gain up a tad little bit before halfway is seems fine, im wiring it down to 1 ohm tomorrow

how do you take out terminals? do you just pull them out or what, and can you turn them upside down? because my screws are on the bottom and its hard to get to them?

Just got my a viper 1200.1 from ikesound and **** putting all this terminals together is anoying the hell out of me !!!!

you pull them out to switch wires, they are on the bottom for a clean look, no you cant turn them upside down....

they have their design advantages so that you can mount the equipment and them just plug all the wires in at once 

 

thats how they are designed to work

thats what i liked about it, i had to move my amp when i re ran my power and ground made it alot easier...

so I should just remove those little things that come with the screws altogether ? even on the power and ground terminal?
