Orion 2500d

I am thinking about buying this amp to power 2 RE SX 15's but i have a couple of question about it first and was wondering if anyone could help me out with them

First, On most sites it says this is a 2500w RMS @ 1ohm but i looked on the orion website and it states 2500 as the max for this amp....but it doesnt state the RMS.....i was thinking this maybe means that 2500 RMS is the max this put out between the diff power ratings.....like it gives 1200 @ 4ohm 1700@ 2ohm and it puts out its max at 1 ohm which is 2500.....would i be correct in assuming this?

Second, If i wire this amp to 2 dual 2ohm subs i can get a 1ohm load right??

2500 RMS.

Your wiring options would be 2 ohms or .5 ohm.

2500 watts rms and then some. it also makes rated power at 13.8 volts. you only wiring options are 0.5 and 2 ohms. these amps have been known to handle 0.5 ohms daily, but that would be up to you. have you purchased the sx's yet? you could try to get RE to make them into dual 4's if you haven't bought them yet.

Hey I was thinking about hooking this same amp to my two 15" Kicker L7s DVC 2. Ive heard the L7s can handle 1ohm but would it be ok running at 0.5ohms? How many rms would each sub get running them at 0.5 ohms?

no i haven't bought the SX's yet......any suggestions on a diff sub around the same price that would sound as good that is dual 4 ohm??

Re will change the ohm of the voice coils for i THINK 25 dollars, but i don't remember exactly.

Each sub will be getting 1250 ernesto, same for the Viper D2500, lets ride to ikesound thursday and get it.

Off topic...why isn't anyone interested in the KX2500.1 from kicker? I dont think it does. I think its rated 2500rms @ 2ohms. I think thats why some people get Orion over Viper some times because you can run Orion at 1ohm and even .5ohm.

$500 for a KX2500.1? P/M me the link. I would prefer a KX2500.1 than an Orion or Viper.
