War Eagle!!!
im outside trying to wire my amp up and i have 4 gague wire. it wont fit ive tried everything and it won't fit. i cut a little off to make it less round and it will fit a little but if i tug on it it comes out a little to easy. and my ground wire keeps coming out. its getting on my nerves. is there an easier way?

i have the same amp and the same gauge wire...

the trick is with those pull off terminals... if you notice

that the screw is actually pushing on a little lever type

thing inside the terminal adapter... now when you

screw the screw in... instead of holding the wire

tight you are actually pushing the wire out because

of the angle of the little lever inside...

what i did to avoid this... even on the speaker wires...

is unscrew the screws all the way so the gold pieces

inside the terminal adapter literally falls out... then

take the little lever do-dader out all together and

put the terminal back together... now when you

screw the screw in the screw itself is tightening

the wire down with a 90 degree force securing

the wire instead of the lever pushing it out with

a 45 degree angle...

if that makes any sense in my explaination... it works

like a charm... i also use a bunch of electrical tape

just to absolutely secure the wires and make sure

there is now stray strand that could cause a problem...

^^x2 that works great, i didnt do that the first time instead i just tinned the end of the wire with solder and i managed to get it in better but i think doing what g30ffr3y said would be better

thanks, i did that and it went in there and its holding for now but im going out there later and gonna redo it kinda. it was going into protection but if i wiggle the wire it comes back on( it was doing this a few times at first, but then it didnt do it again for atleast 30 minutes while i was using it which is when i cut it off, so i guess i got it working right. i9 have to get a drill anbd undo my SX so i can wire it to 1ohm, it was at 4 for my other amp. but i was getting mad at that speaker terminal. it seems like a little more work to have a terminal like that, but i dont know. my other amp was a POS, but the wire was easy to put in. i like the amp a lot for now, just not later when i have to take it out and do it again to get better grip. o yea my ground is 8 gauge and i would pull out because screw wasnt long enough so i put that glod clip thing on it and put it in there now it fits fine.

that amp is a pain in the ***... i want to sell mine and

get another memphis 1000d... i h8 those terminals...

but taking those little levers out does help in the mean time...

mine came with the remote but ive never hooked it

up... i dont want a remote speaker blower no matter

what its controlling...

i also have my bass gain set all the way at 0db... i dont

want some unknown frequency making my beats muddy...

anyways... i personally do not like the amp... i think its

too big and there are pointless knobs that i dont need...

my memphis 1000d was nice and simple and clean looking

with its styling... it was also wicked small and i like the

terminals... plus it was just "gain" "crossover" and "SSF"

nothing else to fiddle with... **** if it wasnt broken i

would take it back out of my girlfriends car...

anybody want a viper for 250 shipped?

they have their design advantages so that you can mount the equipment and them just plug all the wires in at once

thats how they are designed to work
THat didnt work that way for me

thats how they are designed to work
exactly. need to remove the amp for something? why should you have to unscrew every wire when you can just pull the plug. 1 pull compared to removing 5 wires then putting them all back in. its quicker and i like it. then again thats just me

i dont like how the REM wire is

on the same plug with the

speaker wires... it should be

with the power and ground IMO...

that way when you go to set your

gain you can just pop out the

speaker plug...

but since the fvcking REM wire

is with the speakers that doesnt

work too well...

the extra knobs on the viper

are useless... id rather not

have them...
