wiring for amp what gauge?

i have a Hifonics BXi1608D 1600 watt at 1 ohm stable 1100 @ 2ohm but yeah i was wondering should i just go iwth 4 gauge wire kit or do i need any bigger?

i have 1 12" type r right now may add one more this summer.... stick with 4 gauge or would 1/0 be better?

might as well just go with 1/0 the first time. go herefor good pirce on 1/0 gauge wiring kit.

I'm wiring up two type r's on 1000wrms and plan on usin 4 guage, but if anyone advises you otherwise, follow their advice.

go with 1/0 knu wire if uve got the money...will be good if u ever plan on running 2 amps or something bigger...should cost u no more than 100 bbucks tru knu for everything batt term wire rca fuse block..etc etc

They actually have a amp kit sale on 1/0 kit for like 50ish bucks.

Trust me, you will change amps a ton. Well, most likely. So i would definatly run 1/0 the first time round

on Knu the 1/0 wire kit gives u a choice of fuse sizes waht do i need for the amp i have? sorry lil noobish

im not so sure how big hte actual hole is but its the only one i can find and access on my firewall and i really dont want to ahve to drill.... im thinking of just using hte 4gauge cuz im pretty sure itd work through it and i drive a 200 altime gxe so i dont have wayy to much room to add more ya know so most likely 1600 watt is the most ill need in my car ne ways even with 2 12"s ? wat do u think?

if it's more than 13 feet i think u should go with 2-0 gauge just for better powering, well at least that's what my (kicker zr1000)amp's recommend for power.
