i have an alpine "cda 9855" (HU) and a "SPR-17LS 6-1/2" Component 2-Way Speaker Set"(70-350 watts) already hooked up i recently bought a "MRP-F450 4/3/2 Channel Power Amplifier" two power the the speakers i also bought a "MRD-M1005 Mono Power Amplifier(1000 watts)" to power my 2 subs "SWR-1222D 12" Subwoofer (2? + 2?)(500-1500 watts)" all from alpine and i am planing to latter buy one more "MRD-M1005 Mono Power Amplifier(1000 watts)" so i have one amp per sub my question is on how i should go about wireing this all up ex. how many capacitors, how many batteries, wiring kits, fuses and size of alternator every thing i need to know two power my system any and all contributions would be much appreciated thanks to all that respond

p.s i am in no rush so when ever some one gets a chance thanks!

welcome new guy... go read the stickys as they have TONS and TONS of info... looks like you're gonna have a nice alpine system. do some research and it'll answer all of your Qs

arent the 1005 2 ohm stable? If so you want dual 4 ohm subs, not dual 2. Hope ya like it though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

i'll take a stab.

first don't bother with capacitors.

i would run 1 1/0 gauge to a fused distro block for the 2 sub amps, then a seperate 4 gauge wire for the 4-channel. the fuse on the 1/0 gauge should be an anl 200 amp would be fine for 1/0 gauge wire. fuse for the 4 gauge would be a 60 amp agu would be fine for 4 gauge wire.

with 2000 watts rms plus a speaker amp chances are you will need to upgrade the alt, but first do a big 3 upgrade which can be found in the electrical forum. then if needed get a 200 amp alt from a place like http://www.mean-green.com.

now if you decide to run a second battery, you'll want to run atleast 1/0 gauge wire to your trunk, to an optima yellowtop or similar sealed deep cycle battery, then ground it. i would use 2 runs of 1/0 gauge to ground it. then wire your amps to the battery. (this is the basics. sounddomain forum has a nice write up about adding second batteries)

for wire don't buy into this is better then that. i would get the wire at http://www.weldingsupply.com and get the accessories at http://www.knukonceptz.com

also aren't those amps only stable to 2 ohms? i believe you said your subs are dual 2, so you can try to wire each amp to 1 ohm and hope the impedence rise will make your amp stable, or wire them to 4 ohm

Umm....a pair of Dual 2 Ohm subs can be wired to a 2 Ohm nominal load.... (middle diagram)
I just saw that I answered a ? he didnt ask and then never answered what he did ask....because I didnt read his whole post //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif. Im gonna guess you didnt read it all as well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif.
