Wiring Components

Hey guys... Got a couple questions about wiring my new system up...

I have a 96 Tacoma extended cab truck and I'm putting in a set of Diamond Hex components in the front(6.5). I currently have a set of Boston Acoustic 6.5 in the rear(coaxial). I also have two 12" subs. I have the RF 201s amp 50x2 rms to the run the subs and a 4 channel Alpine MRP-F306 to run the components and the rears. I have a pioneer head unit with only 4 rca outputs on the back. I was initially gonna use the Alpine to run the components but I'm afraid I may be underpowering because the amp is only 30wx4 rms. The amp can be made into a 2 channel amp also. Does making the amp a 2 channel double the wattage??? Does it still come in stereo??

Here are the ways I was thinking about wiring it...

1. Use the Alpine amp to power the components and rear speakers. Use the Fosgate amp on the subs. No bridging

2. Use the Fosgate amp to run just the components, bridge the Alpine amp to run the subs, and run the rears off the headunit.

3. Same as #2 but not even run the rears.

4. Power the Components with the Alpine and run it as a 2 channel. I would only do this if it doubles my power and the speakers stay in stereo. Fosgate amp with subs and rear speakers hooked up to the head unit.

I am pretty new to this stuff and I'm sure there are better ideas than i have listed. Any input is appreciated. Is it not a good idea to bridge components?

Here is the specs on the alpine amp. http://narbi.free.fr/manuels/Amplis/Alpine/MRP-T406.pdf

well, that doesnt answer my question but i guess i will respond to that. Yea I've had the speakers for years from back when I used to go bumping down the road. I used to have to amp bridged which gives 100w to each speaker which is plenty to bump on. But thats not what I'm going for now... I'm going for a good sound... Not to go bumping down the road. Its a little overkill but I had the speakers already and its not worth buying new subs when I already have some.

Well to be honest, it is a lot of info to sort out. Most people here are not going to go through all of the trouble of reading and sorting out all that info.

Run the subs on the RF amp like you had. Delete the rear coaxials. Bridge the front components on the 4ch amp.

Well whats the point of the forum? I figured with the amount of people on this forum someone would answer it. Ive probably read 50 previous threads trying to find some info and theres always been good replys on really technical stuff. But I do appreciate your input but I have a question... When you bridge a 4 channel and make it a 2 channel, does it become 2 ohm stereo? I've never understood eliminating the rears. I just hooked my 4 channel up to my current setup.(front pioneer coaxial //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif.... rear BA coaxial) All 4 speakers are hooked up to the 4 channel amp. When I turn down the rears, it just seems to not fill up the cab as well. Maybe when I get my Diamond Components and double the wattage on them, it will fill up the cab better.

When it comes to sound, it is really up to you. You will find that most SQ guys are going to demand you lose the rear fill. But that is the great thing about car audio. They make all kinds of products so you can choose the ones that work for you. If you are asking a technical question on how stuff works, this is a great place to find out that info. If you are asking a subjective question about sound quality, that is something that you alone will have to determine. They are your ears. If it sounds good to you, that is all that matters.
