Wiring and Amp Questions

OK, I have a couple questions.

First, I have never ran anything bigger than 4 gauge before, but was wondering if it would be worthwhile for me to run 1/0 instead?

I'm picking up the car this weekend; a '99 Eclipse. I have a 450/4 for my PCE216's and PCE213's.

This is leading to my 2nd question.

I have a 300/2 and a 250/1. Which would be better to run on a single 12" PWE302 - 2 ohm, DVC MB Quart Premium in a 1 cube box?

I'll probably upgrade to a 500/1 later on, but I want to use one of these 2 amps for now beacuse I already have them. The other will be running my Infinity Reference 12 in my other car.

Thanks

need more specs on those amps... total up the fuse rating of both the amps you want to use to see how big a wire you will need...

for the sub id prolly bridge that 2ch.... but again, need more info on them

450/4 = 60amp

250/1 = 30 amp

300/2 = 40 amp

Plan on upgrading to a 500/1 = 50 amp

The amps I was questioning for the subs have the same power ratings as they are titled.

250/1 = mono block - 250 watts.

300/2 = 150x2 or bridged to 300/1

The 300 is a full range Class A/B amp w/ variable crossover, lacks variable bass boost control

250 is a Class D Subwoofer am w/ variable bass boost

Thanks

+1 on the 4g, even with the 500/1.

I'd use the 250/1 on the sub - 50w ain't a big deal & the class D is a little nicer to the electrical system. But not a big deal either way you go.
